We asked @endlessadventureseekers 5 key questions
Beyond the iconic landmarks, what's one unexpectedly amazing place you've stumbled upon during your travels that most people wouldn't know about?
Tasmania is beautiful. From the east to the west coast, it has various untouched landscapes and you need to explore all of it. There are plenty of free and low-cost camps to explore the natural beauty of Tasmania. It has great surfing, bush walking, mountain biking, food and wineries.
Australia's a big place! What's been the biggest "learning curve" or unexpected challenge you've faced while on the road as a family, and how did you overcome it? You have the same challenges everyone does, whether one the road or at home.
School holidays. Planning ahead during the school holidays especially in coastal areas. We have learned to go inland and plan ahead in these busy periods.
If your family's road trips had a theme song, what would it be and why?
It's My Life - Bon Jovi
Looking back at all your adventures, what's one particular moment or story that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of your family's road tripping ethos?
Whilst travelling during COVID and lockdowns, we were stuck near the NT/WA border at a small town called Timber Creek. This meant we had to stay for a couple of days and slow down. We have now taken this on board and we are travelling at a lot slower pace now and enjoying our surroundings.
Knowing what you know now, what's one piece of essential advice you would give to another family considering embarking on their own extensive road trip around Australia?
You will never have the perfect set up, weather or money in the bank. Just do it! Tomorrow is not guaranteed and go out and enjoy yourself.
THANKS FOR THE CHAT MONIQUE & RYAN!
