Here are Beks top 5 things to see apart from Mt Wellington.
2. Maria Island
Stay away from Bruny. There are too many tourists there. Instead, drive up to Orford, jump on the ferry, and spend a night or 2 on Maria Island amongst the chill wombats, incredible beaches unspoilt by everyone's shacks, take a hike up Bishop & Clark, and cook a smore above the campfire.
3. Mystery Creek Cave
This one is a well kept secret because everyone ends up at Hastings Cave (another boring tourist attraction). It's a short walk from the carpark and be sure to take a group with you, and don't go in when there's been a lot of rain. Turn your torch off to see the glow worms! Take a drive about 1.5-2hrs from Hobart and get directions to Mystery Creek Cave .
4. Snorkeling at Tinderbox
It's a marine reserve that is booming with stunning kelp, sponge gardens, colourful fish and the rare seadragon are found here.
