Dutch Dude Downunder

I started my trip when I was graduated from my bachelor degree. I started my journey in Darwin. From Darwin I hired a car to Cairns this was my first experience with Traveling alone and camping in the nature. One night a was staying at a nature camping place near some water where I had a great evening seeing a lot of birds and when I was dark I was invited by a couple to sit by there fire and talk all night about the best places to go to.

In Cairns I bought my own campervan a lovely 1996 Townace, a small van great for one person.

When you are on Cairns there I one thing you have to do and that is snorkelling at the great barrier reef, it was amazing.
At one point it was time to move on to find some work, I started working in a packing shed. I where long days of hard working but the payment was great.

Sadly one day my campervan broke down and it needs to be repaired. That was the day I experienced the worst night of my live. I slept in a hostel where the bathroom was so disgusting that the public toilet on the streets where better and when I tried to sleep I heard the mice walking around. Lucky it was only one night.

I continue my journey to Brisbane and Sydney where I met up with some great people.

I've stopped my journey for now but it's not the end, I'm planning to go to Tasmania and after that I'll go on to Melbourne and all the way to Perth.
